Description

The Lemon Lavender Margarita is a refreshing twist on the classic margarita, with a fragrant infusion of lavender and a zesty lemon kick. This cocktail is perfect for spring and summer gatherings or any time you’re in the mood for a unique, floral-inspired drink. The balance of sweetness and tangy citrus makes it an unforgettable experience.


Ingredients

  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ounce lavender simple syrup (see notes for recipe)
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec
  • Salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Ice
  • Lemon slices and lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. If you prefer a salted or sugared rim, rub a lemon wedge around the edge of your glass and dip it into salt or sugar.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the silver tequila, fresh lemon juice, lavender simple syrup, and triple sec.
  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill the mixture.
  4. Strain the margarita into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of lavender.

Notes

To make lavender simple syrup, combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon dried lavender in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain out the lavender and store the syrup in an airtight container in the fridge.
