Description
This classic Reuben Sandwich is a delicious combination of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing, all grilled to perfection on rye bread
Ingredients
– 2 slices Rye Bread
– 1 tbsp Butter, softened
– 3 tbsp Thousand Island Dressing
– 4 slices Swiss Cheese
– 4 oz Corned Beef, deli sliced
– 1/4 cup Sauerkraut, drained
Instructions
1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread Thousand Island dressing.
3. Layer Swiss cheese, corned beef, and sauerkraut on top of the dressing.
4. Top with the remaining slice of bread, buttered side out.
5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
6. Slice the sandwich in half and serve hot.
Notes
– For a lighter version, you can use turkey instead of corned beef.
– Add a slice of pickles for an extra crunch.
