Description

A delicious wrap filled with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and topped with a creamy sauce. This easy-to-make wrap is the perfect combination of savory flavors and creamy goodness. Ideal for a quick lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  • Cook the beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened (about 3 minutes). Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Season the beef: Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the cooked beef. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  • Prepare the creamy sauce: In a small bowl, mix together sour cream, mayonnaise, hot sauce, and lime juice. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Assemble the wraps: Lay the tortillas flat and evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef mixture onto each. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Wrap and serve: Fold the sides of the tortilla in and roll it tightly. Serve with a drizzle of creamy sauce on top.

Notes

  • You can add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach to the ground beef mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Swap the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • The creamy sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
