- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Cook the beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened (about 3 minutes). Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Season the beef: Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the cooked beef. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Prepare the creamy sauce: In a small bowl, mix together sour cream, mayonnaise, hot sauce, and lime juice. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay the tortillas flat and evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef mixture onto each. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Wrap and serve: Fold the sides of the tortilla in and roll it tightly. Serve with a drizzle of creamy sauce on top.
Notes
- You can add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach to the ground beef mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Swap the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- The creamy sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
