Description

A twist on the classic deviled eggs, these Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs are packed with bold flavors! Creamy egg yolk filling is enhanced with a kick of Cajun seasoning, topped with succulent shrimp for a perfect appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 1/2 lb (225 g) cooked shrimp, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks.
  2. In a bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped shrimp.
  4. Spoon or pipe the mixture back into the egg whites.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives and an extra sprinkle of Cajun seasoning or paprika if desired.
  6. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • You can use either pre-cooked shrimp or cook your own. Just make sure they are chopped into bite-sized pieces.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the filling.
  • These deviled eggs are best served immediately, but you can refrigerate them for a few hours before serving.
