- 10 oz (280 g) dark chocolate, chopped
- 6 oz (170 g) white chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries or raspberries (optional)
- 1/4 cup heart-shaped sprinkles
- 2 tbsp crushed nuts (almonds, pistachios, or pecans) (optional)
- 2 tbsp mini marshmallows (optional)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt flakes
Instructions
- Melt the Dark Chocolate:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate onto the baking sheet and spread it evenly into a ¼-inch thick layer.
- Melt the White Chocolate:
- Melt the white chocolate in the same way.
- Drizzle it over the dark chocolate and swirl gently with a toothpick or skewer for a marbled effect.
- Add Toppings:
- Sprinkle freeze-dried fruit, sprinkles, nuts, mini marshmallows, and sea salt over the melted chocolate before it sets.
- Set and Break:
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until completely hardened.
- Once set, break the bark into irregular pieces and serve or package for gifting.
Notes
- Use milk chocolate instead of dark for a sweeter flavor.
- Customize the toppings with coconut flakes, candy hearts, or crushed peppermint.
