- 3 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 ounce (30 ml) silver or blanco tequila
- Juice of half a lime
- 2 ounces (60 ml) chilled tonic water
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Simple syrup or agave nectar to taste
Instructions
- Place the sliced strawberries in a glass.
- Muddle the strawberries using a muddler or the back of a spoon until they release their juices.
- Add the tequila and lime juice to the glass.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the chilled tonic water over the ice and stir gently to combine.
- Taste and, if desired, add simple syrup or agave nectar to sweeten.
- Garnish with a lime wedge or additional strawberry slices.
Notes
- For a spicier twist, consider adding a few slices of jalapeño when muddling the strawberries.
- If fresh strawberries are out of season, frozen strawberries can be used.
- Adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more or less simple syrup or agave nectar.
