Description

Ingredients

  • 3 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) silver or blanco tequila
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) chilled tonic water
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: Simple syrup or agave nectar to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced strawberries in a glass.
  2. Muddle the strawberries using a muddler or the back of a spoon until they release their juices.
  3. Add the tequila and lime juice to the glass.
  4. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the chilled tonic water over the ice and stir gently to combine.
  6. Taste and, if desired, add simple syrup or agave nectar to sweeten.
  7. Garnish with a lime wedge or additional strawberry slices.

Notes

  • For a spicier twist, consider adding a few slices of jalapeño when muddling the strawberries.
  • If fresh strawberries are out of season, frozen strawberries can be used.
