Description

This Turkish Pasta recipe combines flavorful ground beef with a creamy yogurt sauce and a buttery herb sauce, topped with fresh parsley and cherry tomatoes for a delicious and satisfying meal.

Main Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces pasta of choice
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 medium yellow onions, diced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons sweet paprika powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Butter Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint, or fresh
  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika, not smoked
  • 1 tablespoon mild pepper paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turkish chili flakes, or regular chili flakes

Yogurt Sauce:

    • 1 cup Greek yogurt, or plain yogurt
    • 23 small garlic cloves, minced
    • Salt and pepper

To Garnish:

    • 1/4 cup minced parsley
    • 1/2 cup Cherry tomatoes, diced

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with onion powder, diced onions, tomato paste, sweet paprika, salt, and pepper until browned.
  3. Prepare Butter Sauce: In a separate pan, melt butter with olive oil, then add dried mint, sweet paprika, pepper paste, and chili flakes.
  4. Make Yogurt Sauce: Mix Greek yogurt with minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Assemble: Combine cooked pasta, ground beef, butter sauce, and yogurt sauce. Serve topped with parsley and cherry tomatoes.

Notes

  • You can adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of chili flakes used.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini for extra flavor and nutrition.
