Description

These tender, homemade biscuits require just three ingredients and are made with love. They’re soft, buttery, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or serving alongside a warm bowl of soup. Simple, comforting, and straight from the heart!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the butter into the flour using a pastry cutter or your hands until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add the milk, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it down to about ¾-inch thickness.
  5. Cut out biscuits using a round cutter or a glass and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  7. Serve warm with butter, jam, or honey. Enjoy!

Notes

  • If using all-purpose flour, add 1 tablespoon baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt to make it self-rising.
  • For extra flavor, brush the tops with melted butter after baking.
  • Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
  • Add shredded cheese, herbs, or honey for a twist on the classic recipe!
