- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the butter into the flour using a pastry cutter or your hands until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it down to about ¾-inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits using a round cutter or a glass and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Serve warm with butter, jam, or honey. Enjoy!
Notes
- If using all-purpose flour, add 1 tablespoon baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt to make it self-rising.
- For extra flavor, brush the tops with melted butter after baking.
