  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Make the Dough:
    1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
    2. Add the sugar, butter, salt, eggs, and cinnamon to the yeast mixture. Gradually stir in the flour, one cup at a time, until a dough forms.
    3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  2. Prepare the Cinnamon Filling:
    1. While the dough rises, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter together in a bowl to form the cinnamon filling. Set aside.
  3. Roll the Dough:
    1. After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a 12×18-inch rectangle.
    2. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border along the edges.
  4. Shape the Rolls:
    1. Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal rolls and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  5. Rise the Rolls:
    1. Cover the pan with a cloth and let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes, or until they have doubled in size.
  6. Bake the Rolls:
    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    2. Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  7. Make the Glaze:
    1. While the rolls bake, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create the glaze. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.
  8. Glaze and Serve:
