Description

Inspired by the legendary Arkenstone, this shimmering, jewel-toned mocktail is a magical blend of citrus, floral, and sparkling elements. A mix of white grape juice, elderflower syrup, and a touch of blue spirulina creates a mystical glow, while sparkling water adds a crisp, refreshing finish. Serve this drink in a crystal-clear glass to mimic the glow of Thorinโ€™s prized gem!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) white grape juice
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) coconut water (for a subtle, silky texture)
  • 1 tbsp elderflower syrup (or honey syrup for a sweeter twist)
  • 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • A pinch of blue spirulina or a drop of blue butterfly pea flower tea (for a magical hue)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Edible silver flakes (optional, for a shimmering effect)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: In a shaker, combine white grape juice, coconut water, elderflower syrup, and lemon juice. Stir in blue spirulina for a glowing blue hue.
  2. Chill & Mix: Fill a glass with ice and pour the mixture over.
  3. Add Sparkle: Gently top with sparkling water or club soda for fizz.
  4. Garnish: Sprinkle edible silver flakes for a gemstone-like shimmer. Optionally, add a lemon twist or a rock candy stick to resemble the Arkenstone.
  5. Serve & Enjoy! Sip and imagine yourself deep in the halls of Erebor, surrounded by treasures!

Notes

  • For a color-changing effect, use butterfly pea flower tea instead of spirulina, and watch the drink shift from blue to purple when mixed with lemon juice.
  • For an icy, gem-like look, freeze white grape juice into ice cubes and use them instead of regular ice.
  • Make it a slushie by blending all ingredients with ice for a frozen version.
