Description

This Thai Spice Sweet Tea is a unique blend of traditional Thai spices and sweet flavors, perfect for a refreshing drink on a hot day.

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 4 1/4 cups water
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 3 whole star anise
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon tamarind paste (optional)
  • 1/3 cup white sugar, or to taste
  • 5 bags rooibos tea
  • 2 bags black tea
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk, blended smooth

Instructions

  1. Prepare Spice Infusion: In a pot, combine water, cardamom pods, star anise, cloves, cinnamon, and tamarind paste. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Add Sweetness: Stir in sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat.
  3. Brew Tea: Add rooibos and black tea bags to the spice-infused water. Steep for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags.
  4. Finish with Coconut Milk: Stir in blended coconut milk. Serve hot or cold.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness level by adding more or less sugar according to your preference.
  • For a creamier texture, use full-fat coconut milk instead of blended coconut milk.
