Description

Indulge in the delicious combination of cinnamon rolls and Tagalong cookies with this recipe. A fluffy dough filled with Tagalong chunks and chocolate chips, topped with a creamy peanut butter glaze – a match made in dessert heaven!

Ingredients

For dough:

– 1 cup whole milk

– 4 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup ice-cold water

– 3 eggs

– 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

– 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed

For filling:

– 4 oz. Tagalong cookies, chopped

– 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1/2 cup demerara sugar

– 1/2 cup chocolate chips

– 1 teaspoon kosher salt

For glaze:

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 4 ounces cream cheese, slightly softened

– 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted, as needed

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

1. In a saucepan, heat the milk until warm. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, water, eggs, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add the warm milk and mix until a dough forms.

3. Add the cubed butter and knead the dough until smooth. Let it rise until doubled in size.

4. Roll out the dough, spread the filling mixture over it, then roll it up and slice into rolls. Place them in a greased pan and let rise again.

5. Bake the rolls until golden brown. Prepare the glaze by mixing butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and peanut butter. Spread over warm rolls and enjoy!

Notes

1. For a twist, try adding chopped nuts or drizzling caramel sauce over the rolls before serving.

2. To save time, you can prepare the dough the night before and refrigerate it for the final rise in the morning.
