Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and well combined. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and baking powder, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Shape the Snowballs: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll the dough into small, walnut-sized balls and place them evenly spaced on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake the Cookies: Bake the dough balls for 12-15 minutes until the edges start to lightly turn golden but the centers remain soft.
- Cool and Dust: Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. While still warm, gently roll each cookie in confectioners’ sugar until fully coated. Let them cool completely on a wire rack.
Notes
- Ensure the butter is softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
- Do not overbake; the cookies should remain soft on the inside.
- For extra flavor, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dough.
- Store cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
