Description

These Strawberry Kiss Cookies are a delightful twist on the classic thumbprint cookie. Soft and chewy with a burst of fresh strawberry flavor, they’re topped with a luscious chocolate kiss for the perfect balance of sweet and fruity. These cookies are perfect for any occasion, whether you’re celebrating a special holiday or just looking for a sweet treat to enjoy.


Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • granulated sugar for rolling
  • Hershey Kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Mix the vegetable oil and the eggs together in a large bowl and mix until combined.
  3. Slowly mix in the all-purpose flour as well as the strawberry cake mix.
  4. Add in the tablespoon of milk. Mix the batter just until a cookie dough forms.
  5. Scoop the cookies into balls (use a #30 cookie scoop or by using 2 tablespoonsful).
  6. Roll the cookie balls into granulated sugar.
  7. Cover the bowl of cookie dough and chill for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  8. Bake one cookie sheet at a time for 8 to 10 minutes. Keep the remaining cookie dough in the refrigerator between batches.
  9. Immediately out of the oven, gently press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie, pressing just enough to nestle the kisses down into the cookies.
  10. Allow cooling before transferring for storage.

Notes

Chill the cookie dough to reduce the cookies from spreading.

Store the cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
