This refreshing Strawberry Basil Margarita Summer Cocktail combines the sweetness of fresh strawberries with the herbal notes of basil, creating a perfect balance of flavors for a summer drink.

Main Ingredients:
- 1/2 pint fresh strawberries
- 1/2 c. blanco tequila
- 1.5 oz. Cointreau
- 1 lime, juiced (about an ounce)
- 1 tablespoon honey, raw if you have it
- 2–3 basil sprigs
- ice
- kosher salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and hull the strawberries. Juice the lime. Pick the basil leaves from the stems.
- Blend: In a blender, combine the strawberries, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, honey, and basil leaves. Blend until smooth.
- Prepare Glasses: Rim the edges of glasses with kosher salt.
- Serve: Fill the glasses with ice and pour the margarita mixture over. Garnish with a strawberry and basil leaf.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey according to your preference.
- For a mocktail version, omit the tequila and Cointreau and replace with soda water or lemon-lime soda.
