Ingredients
For the Casserole
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef

- 2 cups tomato sauce

- 1 tbsp butter
For the Creamy Layer
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp butter, melted

- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles
Boil the egg noodles in salted water until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Beef Mixture
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until browned. Drain excess grease, then stir in tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix the Creamy Layer
In a bowl, whisk together sour cream, softened cream cheese, and melted butter. Stir in the cooked noodles until evenly coated.
- Assemble the Casserole
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread half of the creamy noodles in the dish. Top with half of the beef mixture. Repeat the layers, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
