Base:
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder

- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Mix Base: In a bowl, mix together melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Spread this mixture in a baking dish.
- Prepare Topping: In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, hot water, sugar, and cinnamon. Pour this mixture over the base.
- Bake: Bake for about 45-50 minutes until the cobbler is set and the topping is caramelized.
- Serve: Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Notes
- This cobbler is best served warm, straight out of the oven.
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins to the base for extra texture.
