Description

This Slow Cooker Italian Beef recipe combines flavorful herbs and spices with a tender rump roast for a delicious and easy meal that the whole family will love.


Ingredients

  • 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (5 pound) rump roast

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a slow cooker, mix water, Italian dressing mix, oregano, basil, parsley, onion salt, garlic powder, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add Roast: Place the rump roast in the slow cooker and coat it with the mixture.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, until the beef is tender.
  4. Shred and Serve: Remove the bay leaf, shred the beef, and serve with the cooking liquid.
