Description

Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents are an irresistible appetizer or snack made with flaky crescent rolls stuffed with a savory blend of cooked sausage and creamy cheese. Perfect for parties, game day, or as a quick and easy treat, these bites are always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra cheesiness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sausage Mixture:
    1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
    2. Transfer the cooked sausage to a mixing bowl and stir in the softened cream cheese until fully combined. If using, add garlic powder, onion powder, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
    1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  3. Fill and Roll:
    1. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture (about 1 tbsp) onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
    2. Roll up the triangle from the wide end to the narrow tip, encasing the filling. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake:
    1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed.
  5. Serve:
    1. Serve warm as is, or with dipping sauces like ranch or marinara.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, use hot sausage or add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to retain crispiness.
