Description

These roasted green beans with garlic and Parmesan are a flavorful and easy side dish that pairs well with any meal. The beans are perfectly seasoned with olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese, then roasted until tender and crispy.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 large cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt + pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup parmesan, freshly grated (I recommend parmigiano-reggiano)
  • 1/2 a lemon, juice
  • 12 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (to garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Toss green beans with olive oil: In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  3. Roast the green beans: Spread the green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the beans are tender and slightly crispy.
  4. Finish with Parmesan and lemon juice: Remove the green beans from the oven and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan and lemon juice. Toss to combine.
  5. Garnish and serve: Garnish the roasted green beans with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to check the beans halfway through roasting and give them a shake to ensure even cooking.
  • You can customize this dish by adding other seasonings like red pepper flakes or herbs like thyme or rosemary.
