Description

    • 1 pound top sirloin steak
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
    • 3 cups broccoli florets

Sauce ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together water, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic, sesame oil, and ground ginger.
  2. Cook the steak: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Stir-fry the broccoli: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Stir in broccoli florets and cook until tender-crisp.
  4. Combine all ingredients: Return the steak to the skillet, pour the sauce over the steak and broccoli. Cook until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
