Description

The Pink Starburst Cocktail is a vibrant, fruity drink inspired by the popular pink Starburst candy. Infused with candy-flavored vodka or rum, it combines orange juice, strawberry-kiwi juice, and lemon-lime soda to create a refreshing and colorful cocktail that’s perfect for parties and fun gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Starburst Infused Alcohol

  • 8 pink Starburst candies
  • 8 ounces vodka or clear rum

Cocktail Mix

  • 8 ounces orange juice
  • 8 ounces strawberry-kiwi juice or punch
  • 8 to 12 ounces lemon-lime soda
  • Red food coloring (optional)

Garnish

  • Additional pink Starburst candies

Instructions

  1. Infuse the Alcohol: Place 8 pink Starburst candies into a jar or container with a lid. Pour 8 ounces of vodka or clear rum over the Starburst and cover the container tightly. Allow the candies to dissolve in the alcohol for about 24 hours, stirring or swirling occasionally to help combine the mixture and ensure the candy fully infuses the alcohol.
  2. Prepare Glasses: When ready to serve, fill cocktail glasses with ice to chill the drinks properly.
  3. Add Candy-Infused Alcohol: Pour 2 ounces of the candy-infused vodka or rum into each glass over the ice.
  4. Mix the Juices: Add 2 ounces of orange juice and 2 ounces of strawberry-kiwi juice or punch into each glass, building layers of fruity flavors.
  5. Top with Soda: Finish by topping each drink with lemon-lime soda, about 2 to 3 ounces per glass, adding a sparkling, refreshing fizz.
  6. Add Color (Optional): For a brighter pink color, add a single drop of red food coloring to each glass and gently stir to incorporate the color into the cocktail.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Serve immediately with a side of additional pink Starburst candies as a fun and thematic garnish to complement the drink.

Notes

  • Infusing the alcohol requires 24 hours, so plan ahead to prepare the candy vodka or rum.
  • Use clear vodka or rum to maintain the bright color of the cocktail.
  • The red food coloring is optional, just a drop enhances the vibrant pink hue.
  • Adjust the amount of lemon-lime soda to taste for preferred fizziness.
  • This cocktail is best served chilled and fresh.
