- 1 small onion, diced

- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 8 lasagna noodles, broken into large pieces
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

Brown the Meat:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef or sausage and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain excess grease if necessary.

- Add onion and garlic and cook until softened (2-3 minutes).

- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
