Description

Neiman Marcus Casserole is a comforting and flavorful dish made with tender chicken, creamy sauce, cheese, bacon, and a crispy buttery cracker topping.

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 20 ounces boneless skinless chicken breasts/thighs (frozen is okay)
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Toppings:

  • 1/3 cup bacon crumbles
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 1/2 tsp hot sauce
  • 12 Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook Chicken: In a skillet, cook the chicken with poultry seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until no longer pink. Shred the chicken.
  3. Make Sauce: In a saucepan, mix cornstarch with chicken broth, then add milk, sour cream, and cheese. Cook until thickened.
  4. Assemble: Combine chicken with sauce, then add bacon, green onions, almonds, and hot sauce. Pour into a casserole dish.
  5. Add Toppings: Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  6. Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
