- 1 loaf of French bread (or sourdough)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced ham
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Bread Bowl:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving about 1-inch thick walls. Reserve the bread pieces for dipping.
- Mix the Dip:
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, ham, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Fill and Bake:
- Spoon the mixture into the hollowed bread loaf. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve:
- Serve warm with the reserved bread pieces, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the dip.
- You can substitute ham with cooked bacon or turkey for a different flavor profile.
