Description

Mississippi Sin Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and indulgent dip packed with bold flavors. Made with savory ham, tangy sour cream, and melty cheese, this crowd-pleaser is perfect for parties, game days, or holiday gatherings. Served warm in a bread bowl or with crackers, it’s impossible to resist!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 loaf of French bread (or sourdough)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced ham
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Bread Bowl:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving about 1-inch thick walls. Reserve the bread pieces for dipping.
  2. Mix the Dip:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, ham, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fill and Bake:
    • Spoon the mixture into the hollowed bread loaf. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
    • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve warm with the reserved bread pieces, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the dip.
  • You can substitute ham with cooked bacon or turkey for a different flavor profile.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
