Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 8 large lemons, washed and sliced in 1/2 inch slices
  • 1 cup Sucanat, Natural sugar or granulated sugar
  • 10 sprigs of fresh mint
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary, more as a garnish
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, scraped seeds (or 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract)
  • 8 cups of cold water
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lemonade Base: In a large pitcher, combine lemon slices, sugar, mint, rosemary, and vanilla. Using a muddler or wooden spoon, muddle the ingredients to release the flavors.
  2. Add Water and Chill: Add cold water to the pitcher and stir well to combine. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour the lemonade over the ice, and garnish with additional rosemary sprigs. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a stronger vanilla flavor, let the vanilla bean steep in the lemonade for a few hours before serving.
  • You can adjust the sweetness of the lemonade by adding more or less sugar according to your preference.
