Scale
- 12 tater tots
- 1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 mini burger buns (or slider buns)
- 12 small pickle slices (optional)
- 1 tbsp ketchup (optional)
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions (about 20-25 minutes). Set aside when done.
- While tater tots are baking, shape ground beef into 12 small patties. Season both sides of the patties with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.
- Once the tater tots are done and the beef patties are cooked, assemble the mini cheeseburgers: Place each patty on a mini bun, top with a tater tot, and add a pickle slice or condiments if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, toast the mini buns before assembling the burgers.
- You can swap the cheddar cheese for American cheese or any of your favorite varieties.
- Add other toppings like lettuce, tomato, or bacon for a more complete mini cheeseburger experience.
