    • 1 egg white
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
    • 1/4 cup cornstarch
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 cup water, ice cold
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 1 pinch salt

Honey Sesame Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup pure honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Frying Batter: In a bowl, mix together the egg white, flour, cornstarch, baking powder, water, oil, and salt until well combined.
  2. Fry the Chicken: Heat oil in a pan for deep-frying. Dip the chicken pieces in the batter and fry until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Make the Honey Sesame Sauce: In a saucepan, combine honey, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, and salt. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  4. Coat the Chicken: Toss the fried chicken in the honey sesame sauce until well coated.
