Description

A quick and flavorful stir-fry featuring succulent shrimp, savory sausage, and tender broccoli tossed in a sweet and tangy honey garlic sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or meal prepping a delicious, protein-packed dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and cook the shrimp until pink and cooked through, about 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
  3. Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and sauté broccoli florets until tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Pour the sauce over the broccoli and stir well.
  5. Return the shrimp and sausage to the skillet and toss everything to coat evenly in the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve immediately with rice or noodles, if desired.

Notes

  • For a low-carb option, serve over cauliflower rice or enjoy as is.
  • Add bell peppers or snap peas for extra veggies.
  • Use turkey or chicken sausage as a leaner alternative.
