These honey BBQ chicken strips are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with sweet and tangy flavors. Perfect for a quick and delicious dinner!

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Bread the chicken: In separate bowls, place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat each chicken tender in flour, then egg, and finally breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Bake the chicken: Place the breaded chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and cooked through.
  4. Make the sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey and BBQ sauce. Heat until warmed through.
  5. Coat the chicken: Once the chicken is cooked, brush the honey BBQ sauce over the chicken strips.
  6. Serve: Serve the honey BBQ chicken strips hot with extra sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can also fry the chicken tenders in a skillet for a crispier finish.
  • Adjust the amount of honey and BBQ sauce to suit your taste preferences.
