- 12 soft caramels, unwrapped and cut in half
Candy Coating
- 1 cup vibrant green candy melts
- ¼ cup kelly green candy melts
- 1–2 tablespoons vegetable shortening

- 24 heart-shaped sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for melting the caramel inside the pretzels.
- Prepare Pretzels and Caramel: Arrange the mini pretzel twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them evenly. Place a halved soft caramel on top of each pretzel.
- Melt Caramel: Bake the pretzels and caramel in the oven for about 3-5 minutes or until the caramel is soft but not completely melted through. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.
- Top with Pretzels: Immediately after removing from the oven, place another mini pretzel twist on top of each caramel half to form bite-sized sandwiches, pressing gently to seal the caramel inside.
- Melt Candy Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the vibrant green and kelly green candy melts with 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. Add the additional tablespoon of shortening if needed for a smoother texture.
- Coat Pretzel Bites: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each pretzel bite into the melted candy coating until fully covered. Allow excess coating to drip off.
- Decorate: Place the coated pretzel bites on parchment paper and immediately top each with a heart-shaped sprinkle for a festive touch before the coating sets.
- Set and Serve: Let the pretzel bites sit at room temperature or refrigerate briefly to allow the candy coating to harden completely before serving.
