Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Greek Turkey Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Make the Greek Turkey Meatballs:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown on the outside.

Make the Tzatziki Sauce:

  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, dill, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve:

    1. Arrange the meatballs on a serving platter and drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
    2. Garnish with extra fresh herbs and a wedge of lemon, if desired. Serve with a side of veggies, pita, or salad for a complete meal!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some crumbled feta to the meatballs.
  • Make it low-carb by serving with a salad instead of pita.
  • Tzatziki can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
