Main Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 red onion diced
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can black beans drained
- 1 can pinto beans drained
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
Instructions
- Sauté Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until softened.
- Add Beef: Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Season: Stir in tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- Add Remaining Ingredients: Pour in crushed tomatoes, black beans, pinto beans, and broth. Simmer for 30-40 minutes.
- Serve: Ladle the chili into bowls and enjoy hot.
