Description

This Flavorful Bang Bang Salmon is a delicious fusion of crispy salmon fillets topped with a creamy, spicy sauce that delivers a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors. Quick and easy to prepare, it’s a vibrant and mouthwatering meal for seafood lovers!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets, skin on
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for heat level)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4–5 minutes, allowing the skin to crisp up.
  4. Flip the salmon and transfer the skillet to the oven. Roast for 6–8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
  5. While the salmon is cooking, prepare the Bang Bang sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar in a bowl.
  6. Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven. Spoon the Bang Bang sauce generously over each fillet.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately with your favorite side dish.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the salmon for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  • Adjust the sriracha to control the spiciness level of the sauce.
  • Serve with rice, vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
