Ingredients
– 2 slices soft bread (about 120 grams or 1.5 cups fresh, fluffed bread crumbs)
– 1/4 cup milk or water
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 lb ground pork
– 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (fresh if possible)
– 2 eggs
– 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs and milk (or water) and let sit for 5 minutes.
2. In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, ground pork, Parmesan cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and soaked bread crumbs. Mix until well combined.
3. Shape the mixture into meatballs of desired size.
4. Cook the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until browned on all sides and cooked through.
Notes
– For a healthier option, you can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef and pork.
– Feel free to customize the seasoning to your liking by adding garlic, onion powder, or red pepper flakes.
