Scale
- For the Steak Bites:
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried)
- For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak Bites:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sear the steak bites for 3–4 minutes until browned on all sides, then remove them from the pan and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter:
- In the same skillet, add butter, minced garlic, and thyme. Cook for 1–2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes for desired doneness.
- Prepare the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
- In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and whisk in Parmesan cheese. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens (about 3–5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine and Serve:
- Pour the Parmesan cream sauce over the steak bites. Toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with your choice of side dishes such as mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter or Parmesan sauce.
- For a lighter sauce, substitute half-and-half or milk instead of heavy cream.
- Leftover steak bites can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently to avoid overcooking the steak.
