Description

This Easy & Delicious Blackberry Iced Tea is a refreshing beverage perfect for hot summer days. The combination of black tea, fresh blackberries, and a hint of lemon creates a flavorful and thirst-quenching drink.

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups water
  • 5 organic black tea bags paper tags removed
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar or sugar substitute
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Extra blackberries and basil sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: In a large saucepan, bring 8 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add Tea Bags: Remove the paper tags from the black tea bags and add them to the boiling water. Let steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Make Blackberry Syrup: In a separate saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and 1/2 cup of water. Cook over medium heat until the blackberries break down and the sugar dissolves, about 10 minutes. Strain the mixture to remove seeds.
  4. Combine Tea and Syrup: Pour the blackberry syrup into the brewed tea. Add fresh lemon juice and stir well. Let cool.
  5. Serve: Pour the blackberry iced tea over ice and garnish with extra blackberries and basil sprigs.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness of the tea by adding more or less sugar to the blackberry syrup.
  • For a stronger blackberry flavor, muddle some extra blackberries before adding them to the syrup.
