This Easy Creamy Garlic Shrimp is a restaurant-quality dish made in just 15 minutes! Juicy shrimp are sautéed in butter, then coated in a rich, garlicky cream sauce with Parmesan and a hint of lemon. Serve over pasta, rice, or crusty bread for a quick and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or white wine)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Make the Sauce: Pour in chicken broth (or white wine), scraping up any browned bits. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine & Serve: Return shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until heated through. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve over pasta, rice, or zucchini noodles.
  • For extra richness, add a splash of white wine while sautéing garlic.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes based on spice preference.
