- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (or white wine)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Make the Sauce: Pour in chicken broth (or white wine), scraping up any browned bits. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Combine & Serve: Return shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until heated through. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
