This Crab Rangoon Dip is a warm, creamy, and cheesy appetizer inspired by the classic crab rangoon. It’s loaded with crab meat, cream cheese, and savory seasonings, then baked until golden and bubbly. Perfect for dipping with wonton chips, crackers, or veggies!

- 1/2 cup (120g) sour cream
- 1/4 cup (60g) mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 cups (200g) lump crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation)
- 1/2 cup (50g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sriracha (optional, for heat)
For Topping:
- 1/4 cup (25g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (25g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
For Serving:
- Wonton chips, crackers, toasted baguette slices, or vegetable sticks
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish.
- Mix Base: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
- Add Seasoning: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, salt, black pepper, and sriracha (if using).
- Fold in Crab & Cheese: Gently fold in crab meat, shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, and chopped green onions.
- Assemble: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle additional mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden top.
- Serve: Garnish with extra green onions and serve warm with wonton chips or crackers.
Notes
- Fresh crab meat is best, but canned or imitation crab works too.
- Make Ahead: Assemble the dip in advance, refrigerate, and bake when ready to serve.
- Spicier Version: Add more sriracha or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
- Wonton Chips: Cut wonton wrappers into triangles, spray with oil, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 7–8 minutes until crispy.
