Ingredients
For The Brownies
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
For The Chocolate Ganache
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
For The Topping
– 1/3 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces (like mini M&M’s)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix until well combined.
3. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until the batter is smooth.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
5. While the brownies are baking, prepare the chocolate ganache by heating heavy cream until hot but not boiling, then pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
6. Once brownies are baked, let them cool slightly before pouring the chocolate ganache over the top. Sprinkle with candy-coated chocolate pieces.
7. Allow the brownies to set before cutting into squares and serving.
