Description

These soft and chewy cherry cookies are packed with bursts of cherry flavor and creamy white chocolate chips. Perfect for holidays, parties, or anytime you need a quick and delightful treat!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup dried cherries, chopped
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Add Mix-Ins: Fold in the chopped dried cherries and white chocolate chips.
  6. Shape Cookies: Scoop dough into 1 ½-inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers will look slightly underbaked but will set as they cool.
  8. Cool: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Substitute dried cherries with dried cranberries or chopped maraschino cherries for a different twist.
  • Add ½ cup chopped nuts (like almonds or pecans) for added texture.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
