These Easy Cabbage Rolls are a delicious blend of ground turkey, Italian sausage, and rice wrapped in tender cabbage leaves and smothered in a flavorful tomato sauce.

Main Ingredients:
- 1 head green cabbage, frozen
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
Tomato Sauce:
- 1 cup red onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 14 oz. crushed tomatoes
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chicken stock
- Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
Instructions
- Prepare the Cabbage: Boil a large pot of water and add the frozen cabbage. Cook until leaves are pliable. Remove, cool, and carefully peel off leaves.
- Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix cooked rice, ground turkey, Italian sausage, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble the Rolls: Place filling in cabbage leaves, fold sides, and roll tightly. Place seam side down in a baking dish.
- Prepare the Sauce: Sauté onion and garlic, add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Pour over cabbage rolls.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
