– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the berry filling:

– 1/2 cup triple berry preserves

– 4 teaspoons cornstarch

– 2/3 cup fresh blueberries

– 2/3 cup fresh raspberries

– 2/3 cup fresh sliced strawberries

For the crumble topping:

– 3 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

– 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

For assembly:

– 1 large egg

– splash of water

– 1 cup powdered sugar

– 1-2 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. In another bowl, combine berry preserves, cornstarch, and fresh berries.

  4. Make the crumble topping by mixing brown sugar, melted butter, and flour until crumbly.

  5. Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut into rectangles or desired shapes. Place on prepared baking sheet.

  6. Spread a layer of cream cheese mixture onto each pastry piece, followed by the berry mixture and crumble topping.

  7. Brush edges with egg wash.

  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

  9. Let cool slightly, then drizzle with a mixture of powdered sugar and milk. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

– For a twist, try using different types of berries or adding a sprinkle of cinnamon to the crumble topping.

– To save time, you can use store-bought puff pastry instead of making it from scratch.
