  • 0.75 oz simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 12 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • Ginger beer, to top
  • Fresh thyme sprigs or rosemary, for garnish
  • Crushed ice

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the blackberries with simple syrup until well mashed.
  • Add bourbon, lemon juice, and bitters to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds until well chilled.
