For the chicken tenders:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1lb/500g chicken tenders
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Vegetable oil, for frying
For the hot honey sauce:
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons chilli flakes
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, salt, paprika, turmeric, garlic, and thyme. Add chicken tenders, coat well, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the flour mixture: In a separate bowl, combine plain flour and baking powder. Coat each marinated chicken tender in the flour mixture.
- Fry the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the coated chicken tenders until crispy and golden brown.
- Make the hot honey sauce: In a small saucepan, heat honey, chilli flakes, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Serve: Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the crispy chicken tenders and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra heat, increase the amount of chilli flakes in the hot honey sauce.
- For a healthier version, you can bake the chicken tenders instead of frying them.
