Description

These Crispy Hot Honey Chicken Tenders are a perfect combination of crunchy and spicy sweetness. Marinated in Greek yogurt and spices, then coated in a crispy flour mixture, they are fried to perfection and served with a delicious hot honey sauce.

For the chicken tenders:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1lb/500g chicken tenders
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the hot honey sauce:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, salt, paprika, turmeric, garlic, and thyme. Add chicken tenders, coat well, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the flour mixture: In a separate bowl, combine plain flour and baking powder. Coat each marinated chicken tender in the flour mixture.
  3. Fry the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the coated chicken tenders until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Make the hot honey sauce: In a small saucepan, heat honey, chilli flakes, and lemon juice until well combined.
  5. Serve: Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the crispy chicken tenders and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra heat, increase the amount of chilli flakes in the hot honey sauce.
  • For a healthier version, you can bake the chicken tenders instead of frying them.
