Description

This Crispy Cheddar Chicken combines tender chicken breasts coated in a crunchy, cheesy crust that’s baked to golden perfection. A simple and comforting dish, it’s perfect for family dinners and sure to become a favorite!


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers (or breadcrumbs)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the crushed crackers, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat it with the cracker-cheese mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Place the coated chicken on the prepared baking dish. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the coating is golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side dish.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use a wire rack over the baking sheet to allow heat circulation.
  • Substitute Ritz crackers with panko breadcrumbs for a different texture.
