Main Ingredients:

  • 1 (16 ounce) package farfalle (bow tie) pasta
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom pieces and stems, drained

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed garlic
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the farfalle pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken: In a skillet, heat vegetable oil and cook chicken until no longer pink. Remove from skillet and slice into strips.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté onions and mushrooms. Add flour, then gradually stir in milk. Add garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until thickened.
