Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (120g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. - Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the heavy cream and cream cheese, stirring until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. - Combine the Chicken and Sauce:
Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and toss to coat with the creamy garlic sauce. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the chicken is heated through and well-coated. - Assemble the Wraps:
Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface. Spoon the creamy cheesy chicken mixture into the center of each tortilla. Roll up the tortillas tightly, folding in the sides as you go. - Serve:
Cut the wraps in half and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add sautéed vegetables such as spinach, bell peppers, or mushrooms to the wraps.
- You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- These wraps are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave or skillet before serving.
