Description

These delightful Cotton Candy Marshmallows are a fun and colorful treat perfect for kids’ parties or as a sweet snack. They are fluffy, sweet, and bursting with cotton candy flavor.

  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) cold water, divided
  • 3 envelopes (7 g each) unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring
  • Gel food coloring (pink, blue, or any color of your choice)

Coating:

  • 1/2 cup (65 g) powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (30 g) cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Bloom the gelatin: In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of cold water with the gelatin. Let it sit for 10 minutes to bloom.
  2. Make the sugar syrup: In a saucepan, mix the remaining water, sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Cook over medium heat until it reaches 240°F (116°C).
  3. Combine mixtures: Slowly pour the hot syrup into the gelatin mixture while whisking. Add cotton candy flavoring and food coloring. Beat until fluffy.
  4. Set and cut: Pour the mixture into a prepared pan dusted with the powdered sugar and cornstarch mixture. Let it set for a few hours, then cut into squares.
