- 2 Tbsp instant dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 3 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 Tbsp table salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup dried potato flakes
- 3 3/4 cups bread flour
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
For the Toppings
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 Tbsp dried oregano
- 1/2 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add olive oil, salt, egg, potato flakes, flour, and cheeses. Knead until smooth and elastic.
- Rise and Shape: Let the dough rise until doubled. Shape into a loaf and let it rise again. Preheat the oven.
- Add Toppings and Bake: Mix garlic powder, Parmesan, oregano, parsley, and cheeses. Brush the loaf with water and sprinkle the toppings. Bake until golden.
